FURIA met Fnatic in the groups elimination match to see who will be packing their bags and heading home. There was a breeze of change in Breeze, where Fnatic found a second wind and became the aggressor. They demolished the FURIA line-up in totality by the end of the first half with an eight-point lead....
The match was an almost carbon copy of their opening match. By round 22, it all ended, with FPX achieving a score of 13-9. The second map wasAscent, and FPX rode on the winning momentum from the first map. Unfortunately, KRU will be heading back to South America as their run at Champion Istanbul ends here.

The South American team defeated Team Liquid with a clean sweep in their opening match. Group As opening matches are over forChampions Istanbul, with the four teams completing their tournament’s first match. The ping-ponging continued until the end of the first half when Leviatan led with a 3-point lead. Ascentwas the second map played in this match-up, and the story was almost similar here. The second half is where we saw Leviatan press their advantage as the defending side....
Paper Rexs aggressive playstyle was not an advantage in this match against LATAMs best. In the second half, however, Leviatan started to press on PRX as the defending team. Bindis where the ping-pong between the two teams started. With this win, Leviatan is the first team that qualified for the Playoffs stage for this tournament.
The team beat the Japanese in just over two hours in a clean sweep. Day two ofChampions Istanbulis just about to end, and we have the first winner for Group B. The two teams that matched up this time around areLOUDandZETA DIVISION.
The Brazilians easily swept the Japanese to be the second team from Group B to go into Playoffs. Group B closed its run with the decider match between LOUD and ZETA DIVISION.
LOUD will be waiting for their opponent in the Decider Match to see if they can advance. The match started withBreeze, where immediately LOUD took the lead and trounced OpTic from the start. By the first half ended, LOUD was leading by 10 points. Fracturesaw both teams at the same level by the end of the first half. For OpTic, however, turned the table around and went on the offensive....
Boom Esports started strong, but they lost steam halfway through. Group B matches are complete and we have the full standings up to this point for the group. This match saw Pearl being played for the first time in an international VALORANT tournament. The match started off with Pearl, the newest map in the VALORANT library. It is the first time that Pearl is being played on an international stage. At the end of the half, both teams were par with 6 wins each. Paper Rex then shifted gear in the second half they push on hard on EDward Gaming....
EDward Gaming, unfortunately, will be leaving the competition but with their heads up high. The second Elimination Match of the competition was between EDward Gaming and Team Liquid. A closely contested match saw the APAC Champions trumped by the EMEA LCQ winner. For Group A, the match is between Paper Rex and Team Liquid. A shot by dimasick took Benkai by surprise, and Team Liquid won the map 15-13. Ascent is where everything hinges for both teams.
A few surprises popped up along the way with the playoffs starting soon at the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul. There you have it folks; the Group Stage forChampions Istanbulis all done and dusted. A few also surprised many with their inclusion in the Playoffs line-up. Team Liquid was just a bit more aggressive than the APAC team to emerge ahead and win their match.
