Confused about Zenless Zone Zeros gacha system?
Check out our explainer.
You might be staring at the Signal Search screen, wondering to yourself: What are Master Tapes?
Who is Ellen Joe?
Which channel should I pull from?"
We cant blame you.
What are Signal Searches?
Which ones do you spend?
Which ones do you save?
Well, lets break it down.
Both of the latter resources are used to make Signal Search pulls.
Monochromes are a paid currency, purchased in the in-game store and tradeable for specific bundles or Polychromes.
There is another kind of currency we havent mentioned yet: Boopons.
These are used specifically to pull Bangboos in Signal Searches, but you cant trade Polychromes for them.
For A-Rank characters, that chance increases to 7.2%.
For B-Rank characters, that chance goes all the way up to 92.2%.
They will also get an A-Rank character every ten pulls.
For W-Engines, you’re able to get an S-Rank every 80 pulls instead.
But thats not all!
In other words: we dont know when Ellen Joe is coming back.
If the odds dont go your way, dont worry!
Your next pool is guaranteed to be the featured Limited Character.
Go get that S-Rank!
Having multiple teams for each element is generally recommended to exploit enemy weaknesses.
Right now, the S-Rank W-Engine is specifically meant to be used for Ellen Joe.
How do we know that?
Well, it looks like a shark and we put two and two together.
If they fail, the next pull will guarantee they get the S-Rank.
Bangboo Channel
The Bangboo Channel works a little differently than the rest of these channels.
This Channel also uses Boopons as currency for pulls, and they cant be purchased with Polychromes.
When you get an S-Rank pull in this channel, its guaranteed to be the Bangboo youve chosen.
snag the ideal Bangboo based on your preferred party composition, and go from there.
