EDward Gaming is now tied with T1 for first place.

EDward Gaming has eliminated Cloud9 from Worlds 2022, being the first NA team to do so.

That win now puts EDG tied with T1 for first place.

They will have a chance to go ahead shortly in their next match against Fnatic.

Four of the five members kept perfect KDAs with Tian “Meiko” Ye being the sole casualty.

This meant that he took part in almost 90 per cent of the team’s total kills.

His gameplay on Aphelios showed just why she’s one of the highest-rated champions at Worlds this year.

It was a typical EDG performance in a nutshell with their deathball strategy suffocating C9 from the start.

EDG will be in action once more, this time against Fnatic.

One more win and they secure their spot into the playoffs.

And depending on T1’s following game against C9, EDG could very well finish top of the group.

But if T1 does win, it will set a showdown with EDG to determine who tops Group A.
