VALORANT: VCT Ascension Pacific moves from Tokyo to Jakarta

The tournament has been rescheduled from 13-23 September to 20-29 September and will feature an updated format.

The move to Jakarta was driven by several challenges faced during the planning stages in Tokyo.

We understand this is a big change and that some of our fans may be disappointed.

But we felt this decision was necessary for the benefit of our teams and community, the statement said.

The event will now feature a double elimination bracket, played across eight tournament days.

This simpler format allows for lower bracket opportunities leading up to the grand finals.

Matches will be played in a best-of-three format, with the lower finals and grand finals being best-of-five.

More details on the location of the tournament in Jakarta will be revealed in the coming days.
