Overwatch 2 has revealed that the mysterious hooded stranger appearing in recent Twitch streams is John Cena. A new Support Hero will also be introduced this season, though Blizzard remains tight-lipped on their identity. Overwatch 2 will also launch on Steamthe same day that Invasion drops: August 10. John Cena is starring in another videogame this year, too:Mortal Kombat 1.
Blizzard Entertainment has chosen against moving forward withOverwatch 2spromised PvE campaign missions. The game eventually launched asa free-to-play PvP gameabsent of either mode. Now, it looks like Overwatch 2 players arent even getting that much.

Orisas kit has been almost completely overhauled, with most of her old abilities removed entirely. Halt, Protective Barrier and even her ultimate ability Supercharger are all gone. The Tank hero is being reworked to focus less on defense and more on offense. Orisas new abilities center around the introduction of a Javelin weapon she didnt have before....

Blizzard Entertainmenthas announcedOverwatch 2 Season 13: Spellbinder,the first-person shooters new Halloween-themed season of content. Season 13 kicks off on October 15, 2024. This season brings lots of Halloween-themed content to the game, along with another anime crossover. Overwatchs annual Halloween Terror event is also returning, with a brand-new PvP mode called Junkensteins Laboratory. Older co-op modes like Junkensteins Revenge and Wrath of the Bride are also returning this year with new challenges....
Season 2 of Overwatch 2launches next week, andBlizzardhas finally revealed all the new content it contains. And yes, that means Sojourn nerfs are finally coming. The rest, like Minotaur Reinhardt and Medusa Widowmaker, will presumably be paid skins in the shop. Unfortunately, these are old skins - but we cant have it all, I suppose. Now for those balance changes: Sojourn is getting nerfed. Doomfist is also receiving significant changes to improve his survivability on the front line....
This was a much-needed change seeing as barely anyone played Doomfist in Season 1. The hero had been nerfed into irrelevancy following his transition from Damage to Tank. Despite receiving a few buffs in Season 2, it looks like that isnt changing. A buff for Bastion and a semi-nerf for Junker Queen, not that she ever needed it. Sojourns reign of terror over high-ranked games is finally coming to an end, according to these patch notes....

Players can try out Lifeweaver in a new introductory Arcade game mode called B.O.B. and Weave, wherein Lifeweavers will take on other Lifeweavers in a 3v3 deathmatch. This game mode expires on April 25. This seasons customisable Mythic-tier skin is for Sigma, who gets to look like a space pirate captain. Balance updates This seasons balance updatesare slim but far-reaching. Now, Brigittes ult will expand her shield massively while reincorporating her old Shield Bash-stun combo while its active....
For example, Season 10 is also introducing something called a Mythic Shop. Overwatch 2 Season 9 will end in mid-April,after which Season 10 will launch.
