Nintendopresident Shuntaro Furukawa dropped a surprising announcement this week on Twitter/X, confirming thatthe Nintendo Switch 2is real.
Furukawas message reads:
This is Furukawa, President of Nintendo.
We will make an announcement about the successor to Nintendo Switch within this fiscal year.
It will have been over nine years since we announced the existence of Nintendo Switch back in March 2015.
That lines up withprevious reportsthat the company had delayed the console to the first quarter of 2025.
