MPL ID Season 12 enters its final week of Regular Season play, and for three teams, it will be their last for some time.
For seven weeks, we have seen the nine teams in the Mobile Legends Professional League in Indonesia fighting across the Land of Dawn, as they hope to reach the Playoff stage of the Twelfth Season.
ForONIC Esports, there was not much doubt that they would be locked in, whileRex Regum Qeonshould be safe in the upper bracket too but for the remaining seven teams, the final week is going to be extremely decisive, with everything to play for.
Auras unlikely challenge
AlthoughAURA FIREhas definitely shown some major improvements in this season of MPL ID, it is unlikely to amount to enough for them to reach the Playoffs.
A fantastic few weeks in the middle portion of Season 12 saw AURA taking downBigetron Alpha, ONIC, DEWA, andGeek Fam ID but for the last two weeks, the team have not made a scratch again, leaving them in last place as we head into the final week.
The team need to take downAlter Ego Esportsand GFID in the final week if they want even the smallest window into the playoffs to open but with such a difficult position to fight from, AURAs fires will likely be extinguished.
The White Tigers may be falling
It is difficult to explain what happened toEVOS Legendsthis season, especially since their first few weeks saw them produce some fantastic results.
Having missed the opening week due to another tournament, EVOS came out swinging, losing only to ONIC and RRQ.
However, everything went wrong, as the teams first victory since Week 3 came at the close of Week 7.
The White Tigers' final week is a 3-game one, where theyll need to push out wins over BTR, ONIC, andRebellion Zionif they want to make the cut.
Alter Egos final shot
Much like AURA, AE came alive only briefly in Season 12, which saw them take a magnificent string of victories in Week 4.
However, apart from this, the team has been all over the show, even with a few victories in the past few weeks.
AEs early season really hindered their chances of playoffs, and with only one series to play in the final week, they will need to hope for other teams to fail if they want to make the Playoffs.
The Robots could rally
We expected a lot from BTR in Season 12, after the team showed off with some promising performances at the Snapdragon Pro and the IESF World Esports Championship.
However, the main stage still seems to evade them, with a mixed bag of results throughout the season so far.
The Robots seem to struggle to build a head of steam, leaving them dangerously close to elimination, with the threat of ONIC and EVOS as their final challengers.
DEWA’s first-season hope
Dewa United Esports' first season in the MPL has seen them come out with some strong victories, but also a fair few unexpected losses.
The team definitely looks and feels as though they belong in the mid-table, right now, but with only one game to save them in the final week, there is a high chance they will crash out at the last hurdle.
Two teams possibly safe
For GFID and RBL, Playoffs should be secured, even with their final week fixtures.
Both have some tough series awaiting them, and two losses will put them in a tough spot - but the teams below them face some tough series too, which could be enough to save them.
This could all change, depending on the series played and if some big upsets come out and we know that it is extremely probable when it comes to MLBB.
All-in-all, the final week of MPL ID Season 12s Regular Season is set for some fireworks, as the teams all attempt to make their way into the playoffs and avoid the triple-elimination awaiting the bottom three teams.
With everyone realistically still having a chance to reach the playoffs, Week 8 is going to be one to watch when it kicks off on September 21.
