The Play-In Stage this time round will be a GSL format, with two groups of four teams each.

This is to determine the second and final team from the respective groups to qualify for the next round.

Those should usually be a best-of-five series, given Riot Games' track record with tournament structures.

One of them is T1, who have been plagued by various issues since the start of the year.

Hopefully, a strong showing in the Play-In Stage can see Fnatic move up to the next round.

This will also be FlyQuest’s first-ever MSI, with its only other international appearance being Worlds 2020.
