The new year for League of Legends will kick off with Season 1’s Noxian Invasion.
This was announced in the dev diaries video on Monday (25 November).
Seasonal skins matching the season’s theme will also be released alongside regular skin lines.
Each season’s theme and region will also be tied under one overarching narrative for the year.
“In seasons, we want everything to connect together,” Mackivor added.
Season 1 will zoom in on the vicious, merciless and powerful kingdom of Noxus.
At Noxus, we can expect to highlight a few champions in Arcane, like Ambessa and Leblanc.
Once he appears, the terrain changes with two additional walls to mark where Atakhan will spawn.
Blood Roses will also spawn which, when gathered, grants Adaptive Force buffs.
Meanwhile, “Unleashed Teleport” will speed up the champion’s travel time while they are teleporting.
Small-scope adjustments to items
There will be very few small-scope adjustments to tank items.
However, a new item called Bloodletter’s Curse will be introduced.
This new item reduces the target’s magic resistance from repeated ability hits.
It aims to provide a lower-stakes experience than Summoner’s Rift.
