Mi Yue is a formation mage, which means she needs to position herself correctly to maximise her usefulness.
She is best played as a Clash Lane although she’s also viable in the Jungle.

She can have up to 6 shadow servants around her at a time.
When Shadow Power reaches zero, the servants will disappear.
She summons a shadow servant if she hits an enemy at the new location.
The tether will break if the distance between her and her target exceeds 1.000 units.
If the tether remains intact for the full 4s, she will summon a shadow servant.

The attack speed this equipment provides eases her early-game weakness.

Twilight Stream
Twilight Stream is Mi Yues signature item for dealing with Tanks.
Twilight Stream benefits significantly from her Skill 2s constant damage.
It also gives her a sprinkle of Cooldown Reduction to spam her skills better.
Cuirass of Savagery
Cuirass of Savagery drastically improves her aggressive playstyle by enhancing her from every damage she takes.
