The developer has announced that Hades 2 is getting, close, to its early access launch, but the game will have to first go through a technical test with a select group of players.

We dont know how long the technical test is going to last, but we do know that it will, begin shortly, and interested players can sign up now.

Heres how you’re free to sign up for Hades 2s first technical test

Supergiant Games Hades 2 is an action-RPG roguelike that once again takes players into the underworld as depicted in Greek mythology, with brand-new characters appearing alongside returning gods and monsters from the first game.

This time, youll play as Zagreus sister Melinoe, the Princess of the Underworld who seeks to destroy the titan of time Chronos with the help of Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft.

The game was announced to have an early access launch in Q2 2024 on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and we now know that launch is, close, to happening.

To prepare for early access, Supergiant is first hosting a technical test for the sequel, allowing fans to get their hands on the game a little earlier.

This will ensure that the early access launch goes as smoothly as possible, after which the developer will continue to refine its gameplay and story until its full release.

If you want to participate in the technical test, youll have to hop over toHades 2s page on Steamand smack the button that says Request access.

Only a select few people will make it into the games technical test, so youll just have to wait and see if Steam emails you about it.

If that doesnt happen, dont worry - youll have a better chance of getting into Hades 2s early access launch later on.

We know very little about how Hades 2s gameplay differs from its predecessor, but we do know that its protagonist Melinoe will wield more sorcery and witchcraft than Zagreus to defeat her foes, thanks to her partnership with the goddess Hecate.

If the game follows the same development pattern as the first game, it will spend two years in early access before getting a full release with a complete ending.
