Over the recent weekend, we saw the Snapdragon Pro Series come to an end, as Falcons AP.Bren proved their strength once again.
Having recently gone down to SRG at MSC 2024, AP.Bren had a chance at revenge in the semi-finals, but were unable to take it, as they were pushed down into the lower bracket where ONIC awaited them.
This is where we saw the Philippines champions come to life, as they battled through the lower bracket, avoiding elimination, and making their way into the grand finals.
Along the way, the team finally got their win over SRG, in the lower bracket finals, setting up an all-PH grand finale against Liquid PH.
In a magnificent grand finals showdown, the two teams threw everything at one another, as neither wanted to back down.
In a best-of-seven series that went the distance, both teams showed that they were ready to bring the fight to one another again at MPL PH Season 14, which kicks off its Regular Season in just under two weeks.
However, unlike in the grand finals of Season 13, where Liquid ECHO dominated, this time it was AP.Bren who ended on top.
With that, Falcons AP.Bren became the champions of the SPS Season 5 event, with a 4-3 victory in the grand finals over their regional brethren.
Both teams will now be deep in preparations for the upcoming MPL PH season, while the ones that did not make it as far will all be doing their own groundwork before their respective MPL seasons begin.
