Things are not looking good for The Guard.
Many would have expected the runner-ups from that tournament, M80 to have made the cut by default.
Unfortunately, that is not the case as it stands.
Given that M80 did not win in the end, it would defeat the purpose.
Given that, it would seem like The Guard was unaware of the VCT’s intentions.
However, according to Faria, there were several follow-ups from their end to the organisation.
