Capcom to hold game development competition using its proprietary RE Engine

Capcom is aiming to invigorate the game industry with its first ever game development competition.

The RE Engine has been in continuous development since its creation in 2014 for Resident Evil 7.

Their alloted time for game development will span a half-year period.

Additionally, Capcom plans to offer game production support, and an opportunity for commercialization for future award winners.

Applications have already begun as of December 9, and will continue until January 17, 2025.
