AirPods is one of the best headsets in the wireless market.
Melomaniacs like us listen to music all the time, even while taking a shower.
Usually, I use a speaker to listen to music when showering.
But I always miss my AirPods Pro, and I guess you do too.
However, I was afraid of thinking about what I would do if it got damaged.
Can you shower with AirPods?
You cant shower with the first and second gen AirPods because they dont have water and sweat resistance.
AirPods 3rd gen and AirPods pro areIPX4so that they can resist minimal water.
So if you venture to take a shower with your AirPods, keep this point in mind.

Why isnt showering with AirPods recommended?
While you could take light showers with AirPods gen-3 and AirPods pro, Im against it.
Taking a shower with AirPods violates the products warranty and can also cause severe damage to your ear.
Also, the volume and optical sensors will damage if they come into water contact.
So if anything happens while showering with AirPod, you have to solve that on your own.
The Motion and Speech-detecting accelerometer wont work if a drop of water gets in.
When you take showers with your AirPod, the risk of damaging the sensors is high.
AirPod can create short circuits in water, which can severely damage your ear.
Also, in extreme cases, the electric rays because of short circuits will damage your brain.
And those chemical reactions are toxic for the hardware and your skin.

What is IPX4?
IPX means Ingress Protection Marking.
Its number determines how well your electronic gear will resist water and sweat.
The range of the IPX scale is from 0 to 8.
But heavy rain or activities like swimming or showering will damage your gear.

Can you use AirPods in the rain?
But the older devices like AirPods gen-1 arent water resistant.
So they will get damaged.
However, AirPods gen-3 and AirPods pro arent waterproof, so that they wont stand heavy rainfall.
But they can witness sprayed water continuously for a minimum of 5 minutes.
For this reason, you should use a waterproof charging case or AirPods protective case to safeguard your AirPods.
When they get wet, you should first clean the surface water before putting it into the case.
What to do if your AirPods get wet?
The UV ray will vaporize the water without damaging the equipment itself.
you could get UV rays by putting your gadget into the sunlight.
you oughta dry them in UV rays of sunlight.
Then put them into a bowl of dry rice and wait for 24h.
If it wont work even after that, its a lost cause.

What happens if your AirPods are into deep water?
If you have AirPods gen1 & 2, they are most likely dead.
But for AirPods gen-3 and AirPods pro, you may have a slight chance to save them.
