2024 is clearly a rough year for game company Ubisoft. For those not in the know, Ubisofts The Crew was an online-only racing video game released in 2014. However, it has built up a dedicated player base over the years since its launch. Two gamers from California are now suing Ubisoft for fraud after The Crews shutdown. The petition currently has over 379,000 signatures. They are also asking for monetary relief and damages for players impacted by the server shutdown....

UbisoftsAssassins Creed game franchise is finally going to Japan - eventually, at least. Basim will be mentored by an assassin named Roshan, who is played by Shohreh Aghdashloo of The Expanse. Assassins Creed Red is in development at Ubisoft Quebec, the studio behind Odyssey. Maybe were getting a horror game? The last game Ubisoft showed off is for mobile platforms: Assassins Creed Jade (also a codename).

Ubisofts first-person shooterXDefiantis officially shutting down. These studio closures will also result in the loss of 277 jobs. XDefiant never ended up becoming the smash hit Ubisoft likely hoped it would be, however. Dont expect to be able to pick up new cosmetics in Season 3, however. These last few weeks have been troubling for Ubisoft.

Ubisoft has officially revealed the next Assassin’s Creed game: Assassin’s Creed Mirage, set in Baghdad. Dialogue and gender choices are gone, along with levelling systems. One should note that Assassins Creed Mirage isnt the only game thats in development for the franchise.

The anniversary gallery contains previously unreleased making-of videos and artwork from the games developers. The report also states that Rainbow Six Siege Mobile is being developed by Ubisoft in collaboration with Tencent. Tencentsfourth quarterly earnings callseemingly backs this up, as it mentions new Projects with Ubisoft coming in 2023. Exputer reports that a new Assassins Creed mobile game is also in development alongside these....

The changes will allegedly compel employees to return to their office at least three days a week. Ubisoft workers around the globe have been vocal about their disagreement with the return to office mandate.
